Black Marble Zone 7b-10
Black Marble can surprise you with every leaf. You never know what is going to come out next. Leaves range from small black/purple spots on green leaves to solid black leaves. Some leaves even flip flop this and are black leaves with green spots. I've noticed with this colocasia the more sun the plant gets the darker the leaves and stems will be.
Stems themselves can be very interesting. Some can be very white in color while others can be deep red and all shades in between. Black Marble is a clumping EE. Meaning it produces baby plants at the base of the plant instead of sending runners out to produce other plants.
I recommend planting several of these plants in a variety of sun locations. Try planting some in part shade, full shade, and everything in between. To an untrained eye it will look like you have several different kind of plants when infact they are all the same one.

Here is what they looked like the the Starter Plant size. This is how they are purchased. I replant them in larger pots and watch them grow into plants I can sell.
People ask me why I am so honist with people about my plants. I hear a lot "what's to keep them from buying them as starter plants themselves?". My answer is, go ahead and buy them that way if you want. Don't let me keep you from spending several hundred of dollars and having to replant trays of 72 somewhere. Buying in bulk can have its challenges but great rewords too. Problem comes in that a lot of these companies don't sale to the general public and you must buy several trays for them to take you serious. But when you divide it out your only paying $2 or 3 dollars for you plants. When I ask my customers about this they say they would rather pay my $10-20 prices. If anyone would like details on buying in bulk please email me and I can give you some tips on what companies to buy from.
