Borneo Tsunami Waves is another Alocasia I am growing and observing to see how fast it grows and adjust to Alabama climate.  This is also not available to the general public at this time.

 

Being a cross from Alocasia Borneo Giant and Alocasia Portei it may not be hardy enough to leave in the ground in my zone of 7b.  It will be very interesting to see how the leaves take shape once this plant reaches a mature state.

 

This Alocasia comes in mottled and green types and is said to get more massive than the Alocasia Portora.  LariAnn has successfully done a F2 hybrid from the Borneo Tsunami Waves.  Her hope is to have one or more of the seedlings grow up to look like the Portei, but with the ease of culture of the Borneo Giant.
